These details come from the company settings and appear identically on every invoice.
2. Authorisation and supervision
We operate under a business permit (autorisation d’établissement) issued by the Ministry of the Economy (Direction générale des classes moyennes). The craft activities are registered with the Chambre des Métiers. The permit number is shown below and on our invoices.
3. VAT and invoices
The standard VAT rate is 17 %. For renovation work on a main residence that is at least 10 years old, or within 5 years of its purchase, the super-reduced rate of 3 % may apply subject to AED approval. Every invoice shows the taxable base, the rate and the VAT amount separately, as required by Article 63 of the VAT law.
4. Complaints and out-of-court dispute resolution
Write to us first: we answer within 5 working days. If no solution is found, you may contact the Service national du Médiateur de la consommation (6, rue du Palais de Justice, L-1841 Luxembourg, info@mediateurconsommation.lu). In a cross-border case the European Consumer Centre GIE Luxembourg (271, route d’Arlon, L-1150 Luxembourg, info@cecluxembourg.lu) will help you. The European online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025 and is no longer a route of redress. This is free of charge and does not remove your right to go to court.
5. Data protection and cookies
We only use cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary for login, language and security — no tracking or advertising cookies, so no consent banner is required. Your GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are described in the privacy policy; the supervisory authority is the CNPD (15, boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux).
Rights and licences
All texts, photos and videos on this site belong to FACTOTUM or are used under licence. We use no stock photography and no third-party trademarks: the Bebas Neue and Barlow typefaces are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, as is the Noto typeface used in PDF invoices, and every software library is open source (MIT/Apache-2.0). Brand or manufacturer names appear only where they are needed to describe a job — without logos and without any affiliation with those companies.
The map of Luxembourg on the home page — the national border and every commune — is drawn from open map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, via the geoBoundaries (gbOpen) administrative boundaries. We use neither map tiles from a commercial provider nor aerial imagery.
When you upload photos to the chat or to a portfolio, you confirm that the image is yours and that no person is identifiable in it without their consent. If you spot an infringement, write to legal@factotum.lu and we remove the content.
